I am always trying to challenge my body with new workouts. My basic routine consists of running, biking, and boxing to keep up my cardio. However, I am constantly trying to find new ways to challenge muscles and parts of the body that I don’t regularly train.

Thankfully I was recently introduced to Barre 3 and I think I’m in love! Jenna Muller is a long time friend ( as in 15 years strong! ) and she has been telling me for quite some time about her passion to become a certified trainer / teacher at Barre 3. The picture below is of Jenna and when I tell you that she loves what she does; she exudes that passion through her classes! I waited way too long to try her class out but am so glad that I finally did!

Barre3 delivers a full body workout using only low-impact movements. Their signature approach to teaching gives clients a rewarding endorphin high and a deep muscle burn—without pain in areas of the body prone to injury. The movements are often slow, methodical and give your muscles that great burn. We used weights, a ball and the bar to help balance and secure our movements. The key focus is posture and alignment at all times. Between the small movements, breathing, and continuous alignment, your body is training the muscles to work in the most functional way possible.

Barre 3 is secured in isometrics and is exactly why this workout is so impactful and works the body / muscles as deeply as it does. These isometrics, which at its core means holding a position for a certain amount of time, make your muscles fire and burn fat. The instructors make sure that you are mindful of your breath and positioning as you hold in place.

They have a number of studios across the country and their classes are for all skill levels. They want you to feel empowered through the movements and to modify your workout to best suit your body and capabilities while having the best workout possible. Jennifer turned her daily inspirational walks in Central Park for herself into inspirational walks for all!

Ms. Walsh spends every day in the park where she finds inspiration for work and where she gets to have her “me time” where she is able to truly relax and unwind on long walk or runs. Often times people would ask to walk with her to really see all that she sees, as she photographs the sights in the park almost daily.

Jennifer decided to turn her beautiful walks in the most famous park in the world into a backdrop for her fun, inspiring interviews with people from all “walks” of life, LIVE! She has spent the past 20 years on TV in front of the camera and has met some very interesting people on and off set. She realized that she could use her own platform to tell the stories of so many people she has met on her journey in business in a place that she has felt the most inspired, in Central Park

The Walk with Walsh, online LIVE show, has allowed people from all over the world to tune in and learn from Founders, CEO’s, Innovators, Philanthropists. The changing landscape through the seasons has become an integral part of a Walk with Walsh.
